Henry Ford, the founder of Ford Motors once said, "Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty. Anyone who keeps learning stays young. The greatest thing in life is to keep your mind young."
Last week in NeGD, we learnt an important lesson - achievement is often known anonymous.
Ever heard of a Sanskrit teacher who created native mobile apps just to help people learn and grow? Well, he has lakhs of app downloads to his credit and even Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi praised him in one of his speeches addressing Indian diaspora at Wembley Stadium in London quoting, "My India is in that Imran Khan from Alwar".
We are talking about none other than Mr. Imran Khan, a humble and proud resident of Alwar, Rajasthan. We had the opportunity to interview him about his inspirational and the interesting journey he has had so far - from a small town to a well known name in the Digital India revolution.
We bring you another edition of the Digital India newsletter covering recent launches and initiatives taken by various entities and government agencies. Integration of Digital Locker with Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, bringing driving license and vehicle registration certificates directly to citizens’ Digital Lockers, significantly realizes the mantra of paperless governance.
University Workshops are being organized at 120 Universities to onboard the students onto the aspirations and visions of Digital India. Aim is to create a vibrant volunteer of young Indians who would become advocates of digital India goals .
MeitY’s Electropreneur Park to support start-ups in the ESDM space, ‘Sugamya Pustakalaya’ e-library for Persons with Disabilities, Unique Payments Interface (UPI) App for customers to use when shopping at retail outlets, and the setting-up of India Post Payments Bank– are some of the other initiatives that we have elaborated in the issue.
As ever, your feedback and support will strengthen our endeavor.
